“I haven’t been able to find that nigga but when I do that ass is mine.” Chrome paced back and forth inside the office at my club. He was pissed that someone had hit his spot, but I got the feeling that he wasn’t telling me the whole story. Malaysia didn’t even know where Chrome’s spot was, so how would Jasmine know, unless Mia told her and Mia didn’t seem like that kind of female to me.

“How would Khalid know where you live though?”

“He could have followed me, or maybe Mia mentioned it to Jasmine without thinking about it.”

“So you don’t think Mia had anything to do with it even though yall was beefing for a minute?” I wasn’t trying to implicate her, I just wanted to see where Chrome’s head was at.

Chrome smacked his lips, “Man hell nah. And even if she was to do some shit like that, she damn sure wouldn’t tell Khalid, she hates his ass.”

Chrome was my nigga and I wasn’t a big fan of Khalid anyway, so whatever he wanted to do I was with that shit. I shook my head at the thought of Jasmine actually setting Chrome up, but why? Yeah she was grimey, but I could see her setting me up versus Chrome. Chrome was confident though that Jasmine had played a hand in the robbery.

“What’s up, why you in here looking all sad yo?” I stopped by the salon to pick up the money that needed to be deposited into the bank. Mia was sitting at the counter, not looking like her usual chipper self. Even looking stressed out, she looked stunning in a black sundress and pink flip flops from Aldo. It seemed that she switched her hairstyle every other week, she was now rocking long, curly, jet black weave that touched the middle of her back. Some hung down in the back, while the hair on top was in a bun. Huge bamboo earrings hung from her ears, and the sight of her made my dick jump.

“I haven’t seen Kya in almost a week. Jasmine is keeping her to try and be spiteful, and it’s hurting me and my grandmother but I’m sure Kya is hurting too and she doesn’t even care. I can’t even figure out what I did to her to make her treat me so bad.”

Mia was on the verge of tears. I felt bad that she was going through drama with Jasmine’s trife ass. “She’ll need you before you need her. Don’t even let that shit bother you. I got hip to your sister quick, she just out for self yo.”

“I bet she’s half taking care of her.” Mia looked like she was really bothered.

“What happened to make her take Kya?” I questioned.

Mia blew out an exasperated sigh. “She got mad when I dropped Kya off with the money you gave her.
